Youel Zaya Hanna (above) was a member of the Khabour Assyrian Council of Guardians. When his unit found an IED planted by ISIS, he was called in to defuse it. While he was working, the devise went off, wounding and burning him badly. Although he was transported to a hospital in Nohadra for treatment, he died there some days later of his painful injuries.
