Restore Nineveh Now moves to help Assyrian Christians in Khabour!

Given the enormous suffering of Assyrians under attack by ISIS in the Khabour region, the American Mesopotamian Organization (AMO), the backing force behind Restore Nineveh Now, is calling on all decent people to support the Assyrian Democratic Party in organizing and deploying the Gozarto Protection Units (GPU) in Assyrian towns and villages under attack by ISIS. The Gozarto (which means ”island”) region is the area between the Khabour and Euphrates rivers in Al- Hasakeh province, a land that has been inhabited by the Assyrian people for centuries.
Back in the fall of 2014, AMO and Restore Nineveh Now called for the formation of the Nineveh Plain Protection Units (NPU) and has been watching over their formation, funding and development for months. Restore Nineveh Now is turning its attention and resources to helping stand-up forces similar to the NPU called the GPU.
